Kang softball team loses to Inglemoor

The Lake Washington softball team lost to Inglemoor Wednesday 11-5.

The Kangs fell behind 2-0 during the first inning, but the offense exploded for a five-run second to claim the lead. The big blow for Lake Washington came off the bat of Kealy McMullen, who hit a three-run triple. Audrey Sundene went 3-for-3 during the game including an RBI.

But Lake Washington’s defense could not hold that lead, giving up one in the third, one in the fourth and five during the fifth. Inglemoor added on with two during the seventh to finish the game.

The Kangs committed four errors during the contest, behind Sara Aasness, who went the distance, giving up 10 hits and six earned runs, while walking seven.

The Kangs will travel to Bothell Friday for a 4 p.m. first pitch.
