The Juanita High School wrestling team was defeated by Bellevue 51-27 Thursday. One of the most competitive matches of the night went to a Juanita wrestler as 145-pound Derek Kuo defeated Colin Small 8-6.

Jake McCarmack earned a late third-round pin for Juanita, as he defeated Jamey Mange at the 5:35 mark of the 171 pound match. On the opposite end to the time table, the Rebels’ Cody Treadenbarger pinned Bellevue’s Jin Park at 285 pounds in just 24 seconds, the quickest match of the night. Derek Rubish was the only other Rebel to earn a pin fall, dominating the 160-pound match against Sam Bassford in 1:19. Rebel Phouc Nguyen scored six points for Juanita by forfeit at 103 pounds. Juanita will host a double dual meet with Inglemoor and Woodinville Tuesday and will finish the season with a second double dual meet at Lake Washington with the host team and Redmond Thursday at 6 p.m.
