The Juanita High School softball team crushed Mount Si 16-2 during the 3A KingCo tournament Friday. The scoring by the Rebels included an eight-run second inning and a five-run third. The game was called due to the mercy rule following the Wildcats at-bat during the top of the fifth inning.

Juanita was led by Jessica Leach, who went 2-for-4 with a home run, while collecting five RBI. Taylor Paddock, Brooke Rychard and Kellie Shinstrom had two RBI each. Shinstrom also finished 3-for-3.

Starting pitcher Kylie Sparks struck out 10 Wildcat hitters during the five-inning game.
