Rebel Brent Patterson (160 pounds) set the tone for the evening by pinning his opponent during the second round with 1:18 left in the period.

Mason McDaniel (170 pounds) wrestling up a weight class for Juanita, followed his co-captains lead by pinning his opponent during the second round with 49 seconds left in the period.

Rebel Pierce Belleman (182 pounds) wrestling up a weight class, kept the pins rolling with a huge reversal to put his opponent on his back. Belleman fought for almost the entire second period to earn his pin with no time left on the clock, to earn a huge come-from-behind pin.

Brendan Frost (195 pound) while wrestling up a weight class for Juanita, Frost a first year wrestler showed a lot heart and effort but was ultimately defeated by his opponent.

Garrett Mitchell (220 pound) in his first competition of the year for Juanita earned the fastest pin of the evening, 11 seconds. Mitchell was given the Wrestler of the Match.

Perry Padilla (126 pounds), serving as “third captain,” a position assigned by the coach to the wrestler who had the best week of preparation, lost a minor decision, 12-8 for Juanita. Padilla wrestled tough, closing the point spread from a major decision to a minor decision during the third period.

Rebel Thien Tran (132 pounds) pinned his opponent in 17 seconds, utilizing a near flawless technique sequence. This week the team speeches focused on evolving as wrestlers and as men during the past five days.

Germain Madden (138 pounds) won in dominating fashion for Juanita by pinning his opponent with 49 seconds left during the first period. Madden once again answered the call, despite being sick for more than a week.

Rebel Tristan Morgan (145 pounds) was pinned by a much more experienced wrestler. Morgan gave it his all. He did everything right, but being a second-year wrestler he just lacked the mat experience.

Shannon Smith (152 pounds) wrestling up a weight class for Juanita and gave it all the hard work and heart he had but the 10 pounds he was giving away proved to much. Smith was pinned during the third round.

Rebel Stevie Nguyen (138 pound) pinned his opponent with 14 seconds left during the first period. A great victory for a first year wrestler.

Teammate Jacob Riem (160 pounds) lost a tough match to his opponent.
