The Juanita High School girls basketball team jumped out to a big lead during the first half of its game against Lake Washington and then cruised to a 65-40 victory on Wednesday in Kirkland.

The Rebels outscore the Kangs 21-10 during the first quarter and 22-10 during the second quarter. Lake Washington cut into the lead by two points during the third and kept pace during the fourth but it was not enough.

Tea Adams led the Rebels with 26 points and teammate Jaisa Nunn finished with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Sydney Shepard led the Kangs with 14 points.
