Juanita High athletes set to play in college

On June 7, Juanita High celebrated seven more seniors who will continue their athletic careers in college. Students, coaches, parents and the Juanita High drumline attended the event.

Christian Blackburn was a first-team football 3A all-KingCo defensive end, second-team tight end and an all-state defensive end. He was also the starting third baseman on the baseball team. He will play football at the University of Idaho.

Devin Andrews placed fifth at the 3A state golf tournament, was first-team all-KingCo and team captain and most valuable player. He will play at Western Washington University.

Brittany White was a second-team all-KingCo basketball player and coach’s award recipient. She will play at the University of Great Falls in Montana.

Michael Gengo was a three-sport letterman in cross country, swimming and track. He qualified for the state track meet and will run track at Humboldt State in California.

Tatum Kawabata was an all-KingCo softball honorable mention. She will play at Wellesley College in Massachusetts.

Brynn Radke was an all-KingCo softball first-teamer at second base. She will play at Whitworth College.

Ravi Regan Hughes was an all-KingCo basketball first-teamer. He will play at Bellevue College.
