Juanita girls play Redmond tonight to decide playoff seeding

Juanita knocked off Liberty, 61-36, in the regular season finale on Jan. 31 at Juanita High School.

The Rebels (9-5 KingCo, 13-7) finished tied with Redmond in the conference standings, having split two regular-season games. Juanita and Redmond will play in a seeding game, scheduled for 7 p.m. Wednesday at Sammamish High School in Bellevue, to decide the third and fourth seed to the conference tournament.

A win would give Juanita a bye in the first round of the conference tournament, and would pit the Rebels against Bellevue in the second round at 7 p.m. on Feb. 4 at Bellevue High School. A loss would drop Juanita into the first round, and Juanita would play Interlake at 7 p.m. on Feb. 3 at Juanita High School.

Juanita senior Tea Adams led the Rebels with 22 points. Freshman Brandi White had 15 points.

The conference championship is set for 8:15 p.m. on Feb. 8 at Newport High School in Bellevue.
