Juanita football team beat by Mount Si

The Juanita High School football team’s defense was over matched by Mount Si Friday, as the Wildcats scored 28 second-half points during a 42-6 romp.

Mount Si jumped out ahead during the first quarter, rattling off 14-unanswered points. But the Rebels came back with a drive that was capped off on one-yard run by running back Cole Graves. The Rebels went into half time down just eight points following the missed extra point attempt. But the Mount Si offense took control of the game during the second half.

The loss drops the Rebels to fifth in the league and under .500 in league play for the first time all season at 2-3. Juanita will play its final in-league contest Friday, as the team travels to Mercer Island for a 7 p.m. kickoff.
