The Juanita High School girls basketball team defeated Eastside Catholic, 67-50, to advance in the 2A/3A KingCo tournament on Saturday in Redmond.

Juanita held a comfortable seven-point lead during the first quarter. From there the team took a 39-26 lead at halftime and then a 53-32 third-quarter advantage.

Tea Adams led the Rebels with 17 points. Jaisa Nunn finished with 15 points and 10 rebounds for Juanita, while Rebels Natalie Kalda (12 points) and Aimee Richardson (10 points) both finished in double figures in scoring.
