Juanita beats Sammamish behind strong first half effort | Prep girls basketball

The Juanita High School girls basketball team defeated Sammamish, 53-35, behind a strong first half effort on Wednesday in Bellevue.

The Rebels tripled up the Totems during the first quarter, outscoring the home team 21-7. Juanita’s defense held Sammamish to just three points during the second quarter. The 30-10 halftime lead was enough to fend off the Totems during the second half.
