Four Northwest University women named NAIA Scholar Athletes

The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced Friday that 578 women’s soccer student-athletes have been named 2014 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar Athletes. Four Northwest University Eagles were named to the list.

The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced Friday that 578 women’s soccer student-athletes have been named 2014 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar Athletes. Four Northwest University Eagles were named to the list.

In order to be nominated by an institution’s head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status to qualify for this honor.

Earning NAIA Scholar Athlete honors for NU are:

Lina Arciniegas, Sr., Bogata, Columbia; Patricia Hughes, Sr., Kalispell, Mont.; Samantha Porter, Jr., Gresham, Ore.; and Tiffany Taylor, Jr., Klamath Falls, Ore.
