The Lake Washington High School football team scored four first-half touchdowns en route to a 35-7 victory against Hazen Friday to open the season.

Running back Jake Steele led the way with his feet during the first quarter. The senior made it to the end zone twice to cap drives for the Kangs, first from one-yard out and then from three-yards out.

That lead was quickly extended to 21-0 when Adam Long found DJ Mann for a 48-yard touchdown pass. Lake Washington scored again just before halftime as Long found Jake Wikel for a seven-yard touchdown strike, extending the advantage to 28-0.

Lake Washington held Hazen scoreless into the fourth quarter but gave up a touchdown with 11 minutes remaining.

The Kangs will host Bishop Blanchet at 7 p.m. on Friday.
