With the game facing a possible overtime period, Weaver dribbled passed two Linfield defenders and put her shot from 18-yards out passed the Wildcat goalkeeper for the game winner at 86:51 on a warm, 83 degree day on the pitch.

Northwest U (4-1) dominated the midfield and outshot Linfield 18-8, giving up just four shots per half. Lauren Hellum earned her second straight shutout making two saves. Jalisa Santiago had four shots to lead the Eagles who also had seven corner kicks to the Linfield’s two.

Sarah Bailey took the loss for Linfield (0-3) making 9 saves for the Wildcats in goal. Carole Thomas took four of Linfield’s eight shots.
