Bailey Johnson takes second in state gymnastics

Kirkland resident Bailey Johnson, 12, recently took second place in the Washington State Gymnastic championships.

Johnson has trained at Northwest Aerials Gymnastics in Kirkland since she was 4 years old. She has been competing seriously for the last two years. This last month she earned her way to the Fall State Championships, where she took second place in the All-Around Competition. When asked what she likes best about gymnastics, she says with honesty, “Winning.”

Also a top performing student, Johnson currently attends Kirkland Junior High. She has lived in Kirkland all her life with both parents, and her two siblings. Her other interests include travel and pursuing a career in the medical field. She enjoys other sports such as snowboarding, skiing, water sports, basketball and swimming.
