A good life is composed of memories with the people you love, places that bring joy, and the energy to keep learning. It’s even richer when these elements come together, and it all begins with your health.

More than a health hack: get healthy and stay well for life

Health is more than medication when you’re sick. Lasting health requires a whole-person approach that addresses root causes and delivers a plan to keep you well so you can experience what matters most in life, without distraction.

Bastyr Center for Natural Health is a vital resource for our community.  It is a teaching clinic on the Bastyr University campus, inside Saint Edward State Park in Kenmore.

The Bastyr Center for Natural Health offers naturopathic primary care, acupuncture, mental health counseling services, and nutrition in a single location. Your care team is led by your naturopathic physician who coordinates your care.

This collaborative care model streamlines communication and makes it easier for you to get the care you need. Once care is established, some visits can be via telehealth.

What it’s like to see a naturopathic medicine doctor

Your first visit with a naturopathic physician is an in-depth conversation about your health history, your current health needs and goals. Together, you determine the best course of action for your health.

Good medicine

  1. Naturopathic physicians are licensed in Washington state as primary care providers and can prescribe medication. They are also trained to use herbs and botanicals, nutritional supplements, and complementary therapies to support healing.
  2. Nutrition is a cornerstone for lasting health.  At Bastyr Center for Natural Health you can work with a nutritionist to use food as medicine.
  3. Mental health counselors recognize the interconnectedness of mind, body and spirit, and bring this understanding to every visit.
  4. Acupuncturists provide treatments that support injury recovery, help manage health conditions, and offer relief from chronic pain.
