Volunteers make our community better | Letter

Kirkland thrives on working together as volunteers to make our community a better place to live. We put together major events, we clean and improve our parks, we help out in our schools, we rescue animals, and we work with organizations that give a hand to people who need help.

Kirkland thrives on working together as volunteers to make our community a better place to live. We put together major events, we clean and improve our parks, we help out in our schools, we rescue animals, and we work with organizations that give a hand to people who need help.

While we do this we enjoy being part of a team of neighbors and we feel satisfaction at what we accomplish.

Viva Volunteers! Fair on Oct. 15 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Peter Kirk Community Center gives volunteers and potential volunteers a chance to see how they can take part in Kirkland’s volunteer community. Organizations and programs will have people present who can answer questions and share their volunteer experiences. It’s free, and there are free snacks and door prizes.
