Shame on the city for ticketing innocent drivers | Letter

Shame on the City of Kirkland. You are so desperate for money that you are ticketing vehicle in residential neighborhoods; mine for parking facing traffic on a Sunday morning, May 29 and 11:34 a.m. Wow. Many people park in either direction for decades, and now we are criminals.

My wife as lived here since 1993 and parks either way. We have a severely crowned street and it is easier to exit the vehicle with the door downhill. And traffic, there is very little and no traffic lines. I will contest the ticket, but really question the City and their motives – is it money?
