Don’t repreat history, vote yes on ST3 | Letter

Just imagine if the shortsighted naysayers and fear mongers of the 1970s transportation proposal had not gotten their way. We would have a rail transportation system that could take us from Kirkland to Seattle, West Seattle to the U District, Ballard to the airport and all points in between.

Just imagine if the shortsighted naysayers and fear mongers of the 1970s transportation proposal had not gotten their way. We would have a rail transportation system that could take us from Kirkland to Seattle, West Seattle to the U District, Ballard to the airport and all points in between.

Once again we have the opportunity to develop a transit system for the future. Our population is growing and will continue to grow.

The new people moving here can either clog our roads with more cars or turn to a transit system to take them where they need to go.

Please don’t let our children and grandchildren look back on us as they sit in hours of traffic and say “I wish they had built sound transit when they had the chance back in 2016.” Vote yes on ST3.
