Chuck Morgan memorial section

Last month, we covered Charles “Chuck” Morgan’s celebration of life when he passed away Oct. 30 at 98 years old.

Hundreds came to the service at the Kirkland Performance Center (KPC)as city leaders, family and friends told stories of ‘Mr. Kirkland.’

We informed the community of Mr. Morgan’s footprint in Kirkland and the region, including his advocacy for what led to the KPC.

Now, we’re asking the community to inform us.

Is there a fond memory you have of Mr. Morgan or was there something the Kirkland icon did to inspire you? How have you been affected by any of Mr. Morgan’s legacies?

If you have thoughts you’d like to share about Mr. Morgan, we’d like to hear them. In fact, we’d like to include your thoughts in a special tribute to Mr. Morgan that will be published in an upcoming issue at the end of December.

We hope this several-page tribute will be a keepsake to the community, family and friends, as well as a way for all of us to honor him. Please share your thoughts by sending us an e-mail at letters@kirklandreporter.com, or mailing us at: 720 Market St., Kirkland, WA, 98033.

Donations can also be made to the Kirkland Performance Center, by mailing a check to 350 Kirkland Ave., Kirkland, WA 98033. For more information, 425-828-0422.
