Robin “Rob” Maiers

May 24, 1941 – August 17, 2025

Robin “Rob” Maiers passed away peacefully in Kirkland, Washington, on August 17, 2025, after a short illness. He was 84. Born in Dearborn, Michigan, to Anne and Robert Maiers, Rob lived a life full of music and a love of arts.

A gifted pianist, Rob hosted a classical music radio program and performed at many local restaurants during the 1980s. In Kirkland, he became a familiar face, often playing music in his signature beret and delighting friends and children with his playful humor. Known for his eccentric spirit and quick wit, you never quite knew what he might say — and that was part of his charm.

At the center of Rob’s world was his son, Spencer. Their relationship was dynamic, full of humor, energy, and deep love. Rob also loved Spencer’s wife, Boijana, and adored his grandchildren.

Rob was one of five brothers: Dave, Jim, Bill and Steve. He also found community among his friends at the PCC Co-op in Kirkland, where he loved conversation, coffee, and connection.

Rob’s life was a celebration of creativity and individuality. His music, humor, and trademark beret will be remembered with love by all who knew him.
