Karon Mae Haack Olson passed away peacefully on the early morning of December 3, 2016. She was in the comfort of family and friends during her last days. Karon was born in Batavia, Illinois on September 24, 1939.

She married David Lee Olson and would go on to be happily married for 56 years. In 1965, Karon and Dave moved to Kirkland, WA. After retirement in 1998, they resettled in Woodinville, WA and began yearly travels to Palm Springs where they found excitement and great memories with friends. She loved coffee on Wednesdays and Saturdays with her friends and enjoyed reading romance novels.

She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, and enjoyed spending time with her family.

Karon and family wanted to send a special thank you to the Evergreen Hospice staff and A Helping Hand, for their excellent and compassionate care. Your teamwork was a huge help in keeping Karon comfortable at the end of life at her home and the kind support you all gave to her family. She had a kind heart and was a loving friend to everyone.

She is survived by her two children Tiffanie Olson, Troy Olson and her grandson Julius Lloyd. She will be missed very deeply. Her and her husband leave warm memories that will last forever.

A celebration of Karon’s life will be held at a later date.
