Jon A. Chaussee

Jon was born on June 21, 1958 in Seattle and passed away unexpectedly October 4, 2010 from a heart attack. He was 52 years old. He lived most of his life in Kirkland, WA, and in recent years resided in Montana. Jon’s family had owned a ranch in Montana for many years, and he felt at home in “Big Sky Country”. He is survived by his wife Wendy, mother Carol and sister Denise Ellen Wilhelm (Steve). He was preceded in death by his dear father, Dean. Jon was the father of five children whom he cherished more than anything. J.B., Jamie, Jacquie, Mike (with Kathy) and Nick (with Dawn). His children were truly the lights of his life. He is also survived by his niece and nephew, Julie and Chris Franz, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Jon had many interests and hobbies including golfing, fishing, boating and spending time with family, especially his children. Jon was a very generous person and would give anything he could to his loved ones. He was also a natural at many creative pursuits such as landscaping, painting and woodworking. Jon was considered a gifted basketball and baseball coach, and he touched the lives of many young athletes over the years. His love and philosophy of coaching helped every player to reach their full potential. Jon was very close with his father, Dean, and started attending Husky games with his Dad at a young age. This tradition continues today with his own kids. Jon worked closely with his father for 25 years in the construction industry developing and building multi-family and commercial structures all over the state and beyond. He was well-known and respected for his expertise There will be a memorial service to celebrate Jon’s life on Friday, Nov. 5 at 5:30 p.m. at Westminster Chapel of Bellevue, 13646 NE 24th St..
