Irwin Everett Chinsky, 79, of Richland, WA, and formerly of Kirkland, WA, passed away on Sunday, November 25, 2018. Irwin was born September 2, 1939 in Newark, NJ. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eileen (Bloch) and David Chinsky, and a daughter, Jaimie.
Irwin is survived by his wife of 57 years, Arlene, daughter Stacey and son-in-law Grant Ryan, and two granddaughters, Taylor Connors and Bailey Foley, his brother Dr. Jack Chinsky (MaryBeth) of South Windsor, CT, and sister Adrienne Koltenuk (Jeff) of The Villages, FL.
Education was one of Irwin’s core values. He held degrees in electrical engineering from the Newark College of Engineering, mathematics from Villanova, and applied statistics from Widener University. He, along with Arlene, also supported their daughters and granddaughters in their educational endeavors. He had a great attention to detail which advanced his career during his 47 years as an engineer with The Boeing Company in Seattle, WA. He retired in 2009.
He enjoyed playing bridge and mahjong and loved to laugh. He was a good man with a great sense of humor and will be greatly missed.
