Doris Hagerman

Doris, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend passed away peacefully on October 21, 2010 at Providence Hospital in Everett, a few days after suffering a massive stroke. Doris, born in Newton, Kansas, was the third of six children born to Bonnie and Daniel Langenegger. She and her family moved to Sunnyside, WA when she was a young girl. Doris was married to Charles (Chuck) Hagerman in 1948 and settled first in Sunnyside and then in the Prosser area, where their 3 sons were born. The family moved to Kirkland in 1968 where they remained until Chuck’s death in 2007. At that time, Doris moved to the Garden Court Retirement Community in Everett where she resided until her death. Doris was well known for her family get-togethers, love of gardening, and for finding that incredible bargain during her favorite past-time – shopping. Doris was proceeded in death by her husband Chuck, her sisters Norma and Lori, and her parents. She is survived by her brothers Donald and Kenneth Langenegger, and by her three sons and their families: Don (Sharynn) Hagerman of Yakima, Chuck Hagerman (Sheila) of Everett, and Rob Hagerman (Donna) of Lynnwood; grandchildren – Scott Hagerman of Everett, Sara Nelson (Chris) of Everett, and Ashley Mason (Steve) of Yakima; and great-granddaughter – Bella Nelson. In addition, she is survived by many dear friends, neighbors, and former classmates. A celebration of Doris’s life will be held November 13 from 1-3 PM at Crystal Creek Café (22620 Bothell-Everett Hwy, Bothell, WA 98011). Those who knew Doris are welcome to attend. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, please choose to remember Doris by donating to a charity of your choice.

A graveside service will take place at the Lower Valley Memorial Gardens (Sunnyside) in the spring of 2011.
