Between April 28 through March 3, the Kirkland Police Department reported 315 traffic violations (at least three DUIs), 24 alarm calls, 23 car accidents, one burglary, nine noise complaints, six thefts, four car prowls, five domestic violence calls, eight acts of fraud, 10 calls of a disturbance, two assaults and five calls of harassment.

March 3

Theft: 1 a.m., 11224 N.E. 124th Street. A man stole unknown items from QFC.

Theft: 12:01 a.m., 12500 block of N.E. 132nd Court. A 25-year-old man reported that an unknown person was using his social security number.

Theft: 4:09 p.m., 500 Central Way. A Kirkland woman reported that her carbon fiber Trek Y-Frame Mountain bike was stolen from the Tera Apartments parking garage. She did not have the serial number and there is no suspect information.

Suspicious event: 3:01 p.m., 12400 Slater Ave. N.E. The reporting party told a 911 operator that she saw in the parking lot of Crystal Nails a women slam a two-year-old boy to the ground and then drag that child into a vehicle, pull down the child’s pants and spank the child. The child was crying “very hard.”

March 1

Theft: 2:27 p.m., 200 Central Way. A person reported that they left a credit card at a bar for an open tab and when they returned to pick it up it was gone. The reporting party wishes to report it stolen.

April 30

Car prowl: 12:46 p.m. 6200 block of 120th Ave. N.E. A car prowl occurred to an unlocked vehicle overnight. A Garmin GPS unit was the only thing taken from the vehicle and the serial number was provided by the victim.

Car theft: 3:01 p.m., 4300 block of Lake Washington Boulevard N.E. An officer was dispatched to the scene of a reported stolen car. The victim stated that he parked his white Toyota Camry in the east side of the apartment complex at 3 p.m., that the vehicle was locked and no one had permission to take the vehicle. The victim stated that when he returned at 7:30 p.m. the vehicle was missing.

Missing person: 2 p.m., 12500 block of N.E. 87th Court. A 15-year-old Kirkland female got into trouble at Lake Washington High School for being in possession of a small amount of marijuana. The girl was last seen leaving campus at 2 p.m. wearing a blue short sleeve shirt, blue jeans and black Vans’ shoes.

April 29

Hit-and-run: 7:35 p.m., 100 Lake Street. A 37-year-old Kirkland man rear ended a Seattle man and then left the scene. The Seattle man pressed charges and the Kirkland man was later arrested.

Disorderly conduct: 1:52 a.m., 12000 block of 100th Ave. N.E. A 33-year-old Kirkland man was arrested for disorderly conduct.

April 28

Fraud: 12 p.m., 11300 N.E. 128th Street. A Kirkland man reported the unauthorized use of his Key Bank checking account in the amount of $49.90. An electronic check was used online. The company that cashed the check does not exist.
