Walk & Roll for Autism event in Kirkland, traffic impacts

Commuters should expect traffic delays due to the Walk & Roll for Autism event to be held at Marina Park o April 2. A route map is posted online at www.kirklandwa.gov/specialevents. The Lakeshore Plaza parking lot and Kirkland Avenue, from Lake Street to the city dock, will be closed from 7 a.m. until 4 p.m.

Organizers anticipate 500 supporters will participate in the second annual event hosted by Washington Autism Alliance and Advocacy. The fundraiser will feature a family fun fair, music, entertainment and community walk along the Kirkland waterfront.

Event goers are encouraged to carpool and plan for parking in advance. For public parking, including the Kirkland Municipal Garage, go to www.kirklandwa.gov/parking.
