Between Feb. 25 - March 3, the Kirkland Police Department reported 406 traffic violations, 24 car accidents, 24 vehicle prowls, 21 alarm calls, 19 assaults, 16 noise complaints and 12 acts of fraud; 36 people were arrested.

Feb. 25

Fraud: 11:04 a.m., 7000 block of 116th Avenue N.E. A resident reported a credit card missing and more than $1,000 worth of charges had been made to the account from a location in California. No case has been filed.

Beer theft: 2:45 p.m., 12519 N.E. 85th St. Ocean Shores resident Scott Robinson, 27, was arrested on suspicion of attempting to take two cases of Milwaukee’s Best Beer from Safeway. According to witnesses, the suspect said he planned on returning with money to pay for the beverages.

Feb. 26

Littering: 8:16 a.m., 9500 block of Slater Avenue. The driver of a 2005 blue Ford F250 truck allegedly dumped a household wood structure and metal debris on the side of the road. After contact with police, the 53-year-old Bothell man returned to the scene and cleared away the materials.

Child abuse: 3:21 p.m., 10100 block of N.E. 64th Street. A report relating to the welfare of a child at this location was referred to Child Protective Services.

Rape: 3:33 p.m., 400 block of 18th Ave. N.E. Police are investigating a rape that allegedly occurred at this location.

Warrant arrest: 9:51 p.m., 11804 100th Ave. N.E. Investigating reports of a fight, police arrested 26-year-old resident Christopher Ray on a fourth-degree assault warrant for his arrest.

Vehicle prowl: 5:03 p.m., 10500 block of N.E. 68th St. A Woodinville teenager allegedly tried to enter a Honda Civic that did not belong to him. The victim declined to press charges against the suspect.

March 1

Domestic violence: 9:30 p.m., 10000 block of N.E. 120th Street. Police arrested 22-year old Anita Galicia of Ft. Worth, Texas for assault after an argument between Galicia and her sister turned physical. The sister, a 21-year-old local resident, said the cause of their disagreement was a shared Web site profile.

March 2

Controlled substance: 1:50 a.m., 1300 block of Market Street. Camano Island resident Brian Hochstetler, 40, was arrested after a search of his vehicle produced marijuana and related paraphernalia. His blue Chevrolet Astro Van was initially stopped for a cancelled vehicle license.

Fraud: 12:28 p.m., 8600 block of 120th Ave. N.E. A Bothell man alleged his son had fraudulently re-opened an expired Costco membership in his name and was charging the purchase of items to the card and pocketing refunds from returned merchandise. Police report no further leads in the case.

March 3

Sexual incident: 8:41 p.m., 11300 block of 99th Place N.E. Police are investigating an incident involving juvenile sexual contact at this location.
