Ten Lake Washington School District juniors recognized for excellence

Ten female high school juniors from Kirkland were honored for excellence in math, science and technology by the Kirkland-Redmond Branch of the American Association of University Women at a recent awards ceremony.

The honorees, who were each nominated by their schools, are:

• Math Scholars: Anna Villa, Emerson High School; Anne Li, International Community School; Gloria Liu, Juanita High School; Michelle May, Lake Washington High School.

• Science Scholars: Rachel Roberts, International Community School; Paula Pabustan, Juanita High School; Anna Posthumus, Lake Washington High School.

• Technology Scholars: Aishwarya Nirmal, International Community School; Stephanie Burd, Juanita High School; Victoria Peskin, Lake Washington High School.
