St. John’s Episcopal Church presents its annual Christmas Pageant, Away in a Manger, at 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 18 at the church, located at 105 State St., Kirkland.

The pageant, presented by the Sunday school youth and children, has become a beloved tradition and is a wonderful way to celebrate the season.

The birth of our loving Savior, Jesus, is brought to life through shepherds guarding their sheep, the heavenly host celebrating a special gift, animals gathering in a stable and a young couple trying to find a place to stay in Bethlehem.

The pageant is free and open to the public. A potluck follows in the Marsh Hall.
