Lane closures are planned for the SR 520 bridge through the end of May. Crews will close one westbound lane of SR 520 from 92nd Avenue Northeast to Montlake Boulevard from 9 to 11 p.m. Thursdays. At 11p.m., both westbound lanes will close. One westbound lane will reopen at 5 a.m. Friday with all SR 520 lanes open to drivers by 6 a.m.

During these overnight closures, crews will continue building concrete columns for the West Connection Bridge, a 1,330-foot-long interim connection from the new floating bridge now under construction to the existing SR 520 highway in Seattle. Working from the closed roadway lanes, crews will pump more than 25 truckloads of concrete into column forms just north of the existing bridge.

Drivers wishing to cross the SR 520 bridge in either direction also should prepare for overnight single-lane closures this spring as crews continue work on the West Connection Bridge.
