After working for months on their excerpts and then submitting rigorous, recorded auditions to the Washington Music Educators Association (WMEA) last October, the following students were selected as being qualified for a spot in the 2014 Junior All-State Band or Orchestra: Claire Longcore, clarinet; Davin Schaible, oboe; Evelyn Locker, bassoon, Grace Burt, alto saxophone; Skylee Lorenz, clarinet; and Kelly Chen, cello.

The WMEA provides prestigious opportunities to showcase our state’s best musicians including Jr. All-State for middle school students as well as All-State and All-Northwest performance groups for high school students that include musicians from six Northwest states.
