Bill Fores, an independent sales representative for Viridis Energy Solutions that provides sustainable low energy commercial lighting, and a member of the Rotary Club of Kirkland Downtown (RCKD), is preparing to wear pink! RCKD is the presenting sponsor of the 2010 Seven Hills of Kirkland bicycle ride, which happens at Marina Park on Memorial Day.

Fores and a team of cyclists called “Rotary Riders” from RCKD have participated for several years in 7 Hills. This year, Fores has raised the ante. He has challenged his fellow riders to pool their donations in lieu of the $100 donation. If his team pools a total of $5,000, Fores said he will ride his daughter’s pretty pink beach cruiser on the 40-mile route. If his team gathers a total of $7,500, Fores will wear a pink tutu for the ride.

KITH and the RCKD share great delight to have such dedicated fundraisers like Fores involved in this event. Fores’ wife, who will be managing 7 Hills food service volunteers, may not be quite as delighted.
