Results in for 48th Legislative District 2022 primaries

Patty Kuderer garnered 71.92% of votes while Michelle Darnell garnered 27.83% of votes.

Patty Kuderer and Michelle Darnell went head-to-head in the August primaries, even though the pair will go on to the November general election ballot.

Kuderer garnered 71.92% of votes while Darnell garnered 27.83% of votes.

Kuderer has served as the state senator of the 48th legislative district since 2017, and acted as state representative from 2015-2016. She is a former attorney with over 35 years of experience, where she frequently represented individuals who faced employment discrimination.

Kuderer promises to prioritize revitalizing the economy during recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic. She also promises to increase affordable homeownership opportunities, funding for public schools, and a robust infrastructure with good public transit.

A decade ago, Darnell acted as the WA State Delegate at the 2012 State Republican Convention. Darnell is a former dental office manager, paralegal and advocate for the WA Foreclosure Fairness Act Mediation Program.

Darnell promises to focus on housing issues, such as decreasing crime and increasing affordability. She also hopes to increase access to education, and reduce taxes.

Vandana Slatter garnered 93.85% of votes for Legislative District No. 48 Representative Position No. 1 while Amy Walen garnered 93.68% of votes for Legislative District No. 48 Representative Position No. 2.
