Between Wednesday, Oct. 1 and Tuesday, Oct. 7, the Kirkland Police Department reported 276 traffic violations, 24 alarm calls, 21 car accidents, 18 assaults (12 domestic violence), 17 DUIs, 17 thefts and 14 controlled substance violations. At least 49 people were arrested.

Thursday, Oct. 2

SEX CRIME: 10:27 a.m., 12000 block of N.E. 80th Street. A juvenile was allegedly involved in a sex-related crime. A report was taken by a police officer.

Friday, Oct. 3

DUI: 1:40 a.m., 600 block of N.E. 85th Street. A 25-year-old Snohomish man allegedly ran a stoplight in his raised Ford F-350 truck. After stopping the suspect for an expired registration, police noticed signs of intoxication and arrested him. Breathalyzer tests later show he was reportedly twice the legal limit.

Saturday, Oct. 4

TRESPASSING: 8:33 a.m., 11200 block of N.E. 85th Street. Police arrested a 41-year-old Seattle man under the 85th Street overpass along Interstate 405. He was cited and released.

MARINE: 1:40 p.m., Marina Park Dock. Broken free of its moorings at the municipal dock, police aided an individual trying to prevent a loose boat from floating away. The owner was eventually contacted and re-secured the wayward vessel.

Tuesday, Oct. 7

MINOR IN POSSESSION: 8:36 a.m., 12000 block of N.E. 80th Street. Two resident girls, aged 15 and 16, allegedly drank Miller Chill alcoholic beverages on their way to school. They were arrested and later released to their parents.
