Between Wednesday, Oct. 8 and Tuesday, Oct. 14, the Kirkland Police Department reported 254 traffic violations, 31 alarm calls, 25 car accidents, 22 thefts, 15 assaults (11 domestic violence) and eight DUIs. At least 43 people were arrested.

Wednesday, Oct. 8

VANDALISM: 8:00 a.m., 11800 block of 102nd Place Northeast. A 73-year-old resident alleged the front tire of his mobile home was slashed. He also claimed a number of tire-slashing incidents had occurred in his neighborhood recently.

ASSAULT: 10:55 a.m., Juanita High School. A 15-year-old female student was assaulted by a 16-year-old in the hallway after class. The alleged assailant was arrested and later released. Police have filed a case with the city prosecutor.

Thursday, Oct. 9

VEHICLE THEFT: Between 7:50 a.m. and 4:45 p.m., 12000 block of N.E. 128th Street. A 32-year-old Kenmore resident reported his white 1989 Toyota Camry stolen from a parking lot. The vehicle was recovered by police two days later at the Newport Hills Park and Ride parking lot in Bellevue.

BURGLARY: Between 1:00 p.m. and 8:30 a.m. the following day, 11800 block of N.E. 41st Lane. A 49-year-old resident reported a “spec” house belonging to his company was burglarized over night. Thieves reportedly removed several appliances, including a wine chiller.

Saturday, Oct. 11

ASSAULT: 11:00 a.m., 9800 block of N.E. 125th Lane. Witnessed by woman standing nearby, a Sammamish man allegedly punched a local resident in the face and stole his cell phone.

Sunday, Oct. 12

SEX CRIME: 11700 block of 97th Lane Northeast. After ending their sexual relationship and moving to another office, a 19-year-old female resident alleged her 29-year-old work manager was still making suggestive advances toward her. She was advised no crime had occurred but police are monitoring her case.

Tuesday, Oct. 14

FRAUD: 4:24 p.m. 100 block of Kirkland Avenue. A known suspect fraudulently withdrew a total of $1,000 from a Monroe woman’s checking account. All of her cards were accounted for at the time of the transactions. Police are investigating.
