Between Wednesday, Aug. 6 and Tuesday, Aug. 12, the Kirkland Police Department reported 338 traffic violations, 22 thefts, 22 alarm calls, 21 car accidents, 18 vehicle prowls, 15 noise complaints and 12 assaults (four domestic violence). At least 56 people were arrested.

Wednesday, Aug. 6

Shoplifting: 7:41 p.m., 12200 block of 120th Ave. Northeast. A 19-year-old Bellevue resident was arrested after walking out of a business without paying for a pair of sunglasses, a bottle of juice and seven Powerbars.

Juvenile incident: 8:08 p.m., Marina Park boat launch. Three boys and a girl, allegedly intoxicated, jumped into the lake in their underwear.

Disorderly conduct: 2:45 a.m., first block of Lake Street. A 24-year-old Woodinville man reportedly instigated a fight in front of a bar and was later arrested. He suffered minor injuries.

Assault: 9:40 p.m., 900 block of Third Avenue. Police arrested a 56-year-old resident after he allegedly attacked his wife and son-in-law.

Tuesday, Aug. 12

Animal incident: 3:08 p.m., 10400 block of N.E. 68th Street. A dog was struck by vehicle and transported to a veterinarian.

Warrant arrest: 8:14 p.m., 1700 block of Market Street. After a random registration check of a vehicle, police contacted and arrested a 51-year-old local man on an outstanding DUI warrant.
