Last November, the Kirkland City Council adopted interim regulations for properties adjoining the Cross Kirkland Corridor.

That interim ordinance is in effect until May 15 and the city of Kirkland Planning Commission has been tasked with recommending permanent land use regulations that will replace the interim ordinance.

The Planning Commission will start this process at their meeting at 7 p.m on Feb. 27 with a study session to review the interim ordinance. The goal of this first meeting is for the Planning Commission to provide staff with direction on what regulations they wish to consider at a future public hearing.

The actual public hearing will likely be scheduled for March or April.
