Rose Hill boasts

When it comes to Rose Hill, keylime pie takes the cake. Gretchen Moosbrugger won first place for her keylime pie at the North Rose Hill Neighborhood Annual Picnic at Woodlands Park on July 19.

Nick Rohacek took second place for his cherry cheesecake and Mary-Alyce Burleigh, a City Councilwoman, took third place for her granny appleberry pie. Six pies were entered.

Judges for the contest included Dennis Jones, Bill Odom and Dave Boyer, as well as city council members James Lauinger, Joan McBride, Jessica Greenway and Dave Asher.
