Peter Kirk Elementary students prove Math Is Cool

On April 16, eighteen enthusiastic 4th graders from Peter Kirk Elementary traveled to Mount Rainier High School in Des Moines for the Seattle region Math Is Cool competition for their first competition. Peter Kirk students took first place.

On April 16, eighteen enthusiastic 4th graders from Peter Kirk Elementary traveled to Mount Rainier High School in Des Moines for the Seattle region Math Is Cool Competition for their first competition. Peter Kirk students took first place.

Congratulations to Bonnie Ahrensfeld, Aubri Baskin, Emily Gjertsson, Spencer Goldstein, Dane Hammer, Bryce Klinker, Conor Knox, Samantha Kramer, Isaac Lee, Stephen Michaels, Julian Oelsner, Will Pliska, Michael Pritchard, Alex Repass, Ethan Schreiber, Chloe Smith, Hunter Toyoda, and Daniel Zhu.

Daniel Zhu was awarded a trophy for being the third highest scorer among the eighty students competing in our division. Based on their scores, Daniel Zhu, Ethan Schreiber, Hunter Toyoda, and Conor Knox, were invited to the Masters Competition, the state-level Math Is Cool competition, on May 22 at Moses Lake High School.
