Students who placed in fifth include seniors Stephanie Kim and Emily Chen and junior Laura Renfroe in the category Emerging Business Issues. Chen also placed fifth in Business Math.

Lori Zebrack-Smith, FBLA advisor and math teacher at ICS said, “I’m very proud of all our competitors, especially because ICS exclusively offers business law classes. That means students prepare for their events by researching as much material as they can on their own in lieu of learning the concepts in class. I look forward to taking our qualifiers to Anaheim in June.”

In addition to ICS making such an impressive showing at the Conference, the regional chapter won first place for greatest percentage of members (19 percent of the eligible population are members) in the region. The region spans from Bellevue to Marysville.
