Mushroom walk in Bridle Trails State Park in Kirkland

A mushroom walk will be held in Bridle Trails State Park from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Oct. 24.

A mushroom walk will be held in Bridle Trails State Park from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Oct. 24.

Join mycologist Daniel Winkler and explore the diversity of fungi in the park. Learn how to identify mushrooms from an expert, and learn the names of different fungi and the important roles they play in forest ecosystems.

Each nature walk will be limited to 20 people, and you must sign up in advance. The group will meet in the main parking lot.

A Discover Pass is required to park in the lot.

Daniel Winkler leads mushroom-focused eco-tours and has published “Field Guide to Edible Mushrooms of the Pacific Northwest.”
