Between Aug. 27 and Sept. 2, the Kirkland Police Department reported 404 traffic violations (three DUIs), 13 traffic accidents, 13 noise complaints, 10 thefts, five domestic violence calls, 20 alarm calls, six car prowls, four car thefts, five burglaries, eight disturbances, seven cases of fraud, three harassment calls, four malicious mischief cases, three assaults and two animal control calls. At least 23 people were arrested.

Sept. 2

Controlled substance: 11:40 p.m., 12000 block of Slater Ave. N.E. A 20-year-old Kirkland man was arrested for possession of marijuana and a pipe. The man was contacted in his girlfriend’s car in the parking lot of the Evergreen Villa apartment complex.

Assault: 12:15 a.m., 200 Central Way. A 22-year-old Renton man was arrested after he punched and head-butted a bouncer.

Sept. 1

Order violation: 11:22 a.m., 10600 block of N.E. 38th Place. An 18-year-old Des Moines man was arrested after violating a protective order.

Malicious mischief: 8:46 p.m., 12400 block of 116th Ave. N.E. A 22-year-old Kirkland man was arrested after damaging the passenger side rear door of a Hyundai. The man was also found to have 1.46 grams of marijuana on him.

Controlled substance: 11:26 p.m., 11000 block of N.E. 68th Street. A 28-year-old Marysville man was arrested for possession of less than 40 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Car prowl: 1:45 a.m., 600 Kirkland Way. An unknown suspect attempted to steal a Wakeboard from within a boat.

Aug. 30

Order violation: 12:20 a.m., 11800 block of N.E. 85th Street. A man and a woman were contacted after reports of a male and female arguing in the area. A records check on both revealed no contact orders between the two.

Domestic: 8:10 p.m., 11000 N.E. 108th Street. An officer contacted a woman who called and stated that she had gotten into an argument with her daughter and she called her father to come pick her up. The woman had custody of the girl but allowed her to stay at her father’s house for the night.

Aug. 29

Domestic: 9:03 a.m., 500 11th Ave. West. A man and his wife told police that they had begun arguing with their son and the argument escalated before the son left the premises.

Aug. 28

Warrant arrest: 8:16 p.m., 300 Kirkland Ave. A 17-year-old Kirkland female was arrested for her outstanding assault warrant out of King County. The juvenile had gotten into an altercation with another teen at the Teen Center and was contacted at the bus stop in front of Wendy’s. Police reported that the girl was verbally abusive during the entire process.

Aug. 27

Controlled substance: 9:51 a.m., 15 Lake Street. A 27-year-old Monroe man was contacted after citizens reported that he was severely impaired. During contact the man produced a syringe and was arrested for possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia. He was found to have Methadone pills and a scale with Heroin residue. He was also arrested for providing false statements. He was also found to have a warrant out of Seattle.

Theft: 3:25 p.m., 12500 block of N.E. 85th Street. Two males were arrested at the Rose Hill Safeway after they stole $21 of food from the deli.
