Between April 25 and May 1, the Kirkland Police Department reported 390 traffic violations, seven DUIs, nine school zone traffic violations, 30 traffic accidents, eight animal calls, 30 alarm calls, 12 noise complaints, 13 calls of disturbance, 16 thefts, 16 car prowls, two car thefts, 19 calls of civil disturbance, six reported burglaries, 13 domestic violence calls, seven calls for harassment, four reports of illegal drugs, three alleged assaults, 15 acts of fraud, six malicious mischief calls, two sex offenses, three juvenile crimes and one robbery. At least 45 people were arrested.

April 30

Warrant: 3:16 p.m., 9100 block of Juanita Drive NE. A 28-year-old man was arrested on his DUI warrant from Everett.

Theft: 12:53 p.m., 12500 block of NE 85th St. A 23-year-old man was arrested for stealing $175 worth of alcohol from the Rose Hill Safeway. The man fled to McDonalds where he was detained and positively identified. Police also believe he may have been involved in a previous theft at the store a week prior.

April 29

Warrant: 11 p.m., 12700 block of NE 116th St. A 40-year-old man was arrested on a misdemeanor illegal drugs warrant from Seattle.

April 28

Illegal drugs: 11:51 a.m., 10600 block of NE 132nd St. A woman from Juanita High School called to report that officials found a glass smoking pipe on a student returning to school from off-campus, however, no drugs accompanied the pipe. The pipe was disposed of and the student was disciplined via school sanctions.

April 27

Theft: 4 p.m., 10600 block of NE 68th St. A 21-year-old woman was taken into custody for stealing $45 worth of sandwiches and barbecue ribs from the Metropolitan Market. She was also issued a trespass letter.

Harassment: 5:30 a.m., 100 block of 14th Ave. A 42-year-old man was arrested for threatening to kill his neighbor’s “girls.” Throughout the evening, the suspect caused several disturbances by slamming the front door and yelling profanities towards his neighbors. Early in the morning, he began to kick the door of his neighbors who rent the back of the man’s house. As he did this, he screamed he was going to kill his male neighbor’s girls, referring to his fiancé and 6-year-old daughter. The neighbor stated he had never seen this level of violence from the man before.

Warrant: 7:21 p.m., 10200 block of NE 65th St. A 44-year-old woman was arrested on her warrant for driving while her license was suspended.

April 25

Domestic violence: 2:30 a.m., 12600 block of NE 124th St. A 26-year-old woman was cited for assaulting her 29-year-old boyfriend and father of her unborn son. Another 29-year-old man and a 7-year-old boy were also involved.

Theft: 7:54 a.m., 10000 block of NE 137th St. A 46-year-old man was cited for stealing food and six bottles of alcohol, which include two bottles of Belvedere Vodka, two bottles of Crown Royal and two gift boxes of Crown Royal at the Juanita Safeway. He was captured on video and confronted by the store manager, who took a picture of his license plates.
