Between July 12-18, the Kirkland Police Department reported 500 traffic violations (six DUIs), seven animal calls, 38 alarm calls, 20 noise complaints, two juvenile crimes, 15 calls of disturbance, 16 thefts, 16 car prowls, three car thefts, 23 traffic accidents, nine calls of civil disturbance, 11 reported burglaries, five domestic violence calls, eight calls for harassment, three reports of illegal drugs, one assault, 14 acts of fraud, six malicious mischief reports, one robbery, one sex offense and three suicides. At least 33 people were arrested.

July 18

Assault: 5 p.m., 13500 block of 131st Ave. NE. A 29-year-old man and his 27-year-old brother were taken into custody after they admitted to wrestling inside the younger brother’s home, causing injuries.

Indecent exposure: 5:21 p.m., 9700 block of NE Juanita Drive. A 43-year-old man was arrested for indecent exposure after he was caught having sex with a 51-year-old woman at the entry to Juanita Beach Park. The woman claims the sex was non-consensual.

July 14

Minor in possession: 7:02 p.m., 5800 block of Lake Washington Blvd. NE. An 18-year-old man was arrested for consuming and hiding a beer under a blanket while at Houghton Beach. Preliminary breath tests revealed a 0.046.

July 13

Disturbance: 4:30 p.m., 12200 block of 120th Ave. NE. A 19-year-old woman was taken into custody for fighting in a public place and causing a disturbance with a weapon. Security video recording was taken for evidence.

July 12

Car prowl: 1:46 p.m., 700 block of Kirkland Circle. A 24-year-old woman believes her Mercedes-Benz ML320 was trespassed, however, there was no damage and nothing was stolen.
