Lake Washington High School senior Ashley Gailus is The Rotary Club of Kirkland’s Student of the Month for April.

She was recognized for her outstanding academic achievement, community involvement especially the Loyalty Club at Lake Washington and working with young children. She plans on attending Pierce Community College and then Western Washington University to pursue a psychology degree consistent with plans to continue her work with young children which she enjoys now.

The Rotary Club of Kirkland invites students from Juanita and Lake Washington High Schools to apply for this honor and chosen students come to Rotary meetings for a month, learn about Rotary and are invited to return when they are in the area.
