Local band’s Obama song goes national

A new song from Kirkland band the Bergevin Brothers is the backdrop for a Barack Obama video advertisement that was selected for final voting in a nationwide contest sponsored by MoveOn.org.

A new song from Kirkland band the Bergevin Brothers is the backdrop for a Barack Obama video advertisement that was selected for final voting in a nationwide contest sponsored by MoveOn.org.

Although the video wasn’t one of the 15 that made the final cut, brothers Joe and Jon Bergevin’s song “Fired Up, Ready to Go” already has the distinction of being featured as one of Obama’s eight Myspace.com favorites. It has over 185,000 views on YouTube over the past few months.
