The Lake Washington Institute of Technology in Kirkland will host the 2015 Design Tech Expo from noon to 4 p.m. on May 20.

The event kicks off with a keynote speech by Laurie Burruss from Lynda.com on the topic of merging ideas and technology. Breakout sessions will follow, highlighting topics from industry leaders, creative recruiters and industry focused associations, clubs and community groups. There will be an alumni panel, ranging from creative directors to web developers to game designers, who will share tips on networking and landing that coveted job after graduation. There will also be a student gallery showcasing motion-graphics, short films, fine art, games in development and portfolio pieces.
