Lady Kangs come in 2nd place in state championship

Following their successful basketball season, the LWHS Lady Kangs came in 2nd place at the WIAA 3A Girls Basketball tournament.

During the semi-final game on March 4, the Lady Kangs defeated Mead—a previously undefeated team—by 42-41. The Lady Kangs held a 27-11-point lead into half time, and Elise Hani scored a total of 19 game points.

At the final game on March 5, the Lady Kangs were defeated by Garfield by 38-39, placing them second in the state basketball tournament.

Arlington came in 3rd place, and Snohomish came in 4th place.

The Lady Kangs total season wins and losses are 21-4.
