The Kiwanis Club of Kirkland has announced that it will welcome a Girl Scout to its Christmas tree lot at Juanita Beach Park agains this year. This year there will 20-plus girls from multiple local troops.
They will be performing on Sunday, Dec. 6. The girls will arrive at 4:30 p.m., decorate the tree and then do the lighting and caroling around 5 p.m.
Redmond Coding Association also focuses on e-waste collection and will host a ‘hackathon’ this summer.
Councilmember Reagan Dunn and more than a dozen business owners argued tips and health care expenses should be a part of the new wage. The council passed the ordinance without the amendment.
Nearly $600,000 in funding has been designated for the program, with applications accepted until Sept. 30.
