Kirkland traffic alert: NAMI Walk, May 17

Commuters should expect traffic delays due to the National Alliance on Mental Illness Walk of Washington to be held on May 17.

Commuters should expect traffic delays due to the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Walk of Washington to be held on May 17. Lakeshore Plaza and Kirkland Avenue between Lake Street and Lakeshore Plaza will be closed from 6 a.m. until noon. Commuters should watch for increased pedestrian traffic along Lake Street South and Lake Washington Boulevard from 9:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m.

The NAMI Walk hosts 1,500 participants during the event which raises money for mental health support and awareness. For course information, go to www.kirklandwa.gov/specialevents.
